He is the son of 1992 American Horse Of The Year, Belmont Stakes, and Breeder’s Cup winner A.P. Indy. Malibu Moon, before becoming a perennial leading sire in North America, had a short racing career but showed initial promise. In his only two races as a 2 yr-old he finished first and second. Shortly there after, in his 2 yr-old season, he was injured and forced to retire. Since being out to stud in 2000, he has sired 21 crops of racing age with 1280 plus winners with an astonishing 30% plus winning percentage. David absolutely fell in love with this big, athletic colt saying he really stood out!
