Maclean’s Music (sired by Distorted Humor) had a world of talent, and unfortunately only had one chance to show it, but he surely made the most of the opportunity. He made his debut in a 6-furlong maiden race at Santa Anita on March 19, 2011, at age 3. He recorded scintillating splits of 21.24, 43.48, and 55.05 taking the track from the start and blitzed the eight other runners in the race, winning in hand by 7 1/4 lengths in the final time of 1:07.44. Maclean’s Music recorded a Beyer Speed Figure of 114, reported to be the highest ever given for a debut winner! The world’s fastest sprinters seldom run that fast. Maidens never do. But Maclean’s Music fractured a splint bone and never fully recovered from the ensuing surgery. He was retired to stud at John Sikura’s Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms in Lexington, KY in 2013. The dam Taptana is sired by the legendary all time great Tapit and is a full sibling to Ticonderoga.

Our yearling colt sired by Maclean's Music has been sent to Eisaman Equine in Ocala, Florida and will remain there for the next 30-60 days and then begin training for his 2 yr-old career before heading to trainer Cherie Devaux .
