A Saratoga-area native, Cherie DeVaux grew up in racing and her family is heavily involved with harness horses. After studying pre-med in college, she decided to pursue a life with horses.
Cherie DeVaux went out on her own in the spring of 2018 after spending nearly eight years as an assistant to Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown. Prior to working for Brown, she spent five years working for trainer Chuck Simon.
Her stable has grown and moved up the ranks at a fast pace. In just 4 plus years Cherie’s horses have had 763 starts hitting the board 321 times including 123 1st place finishes most notably Gam’s Mission taking 1st at the 2022 Old Forester Mint Julips Stakes, Tarabi taking 3rd at the 2021 NetJets Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies, and More Than Looks taking 1st at the Manila Stakes at Belmont Park.
DeVaux is married to bloodstock agent David Ingordo.
